Nutrition laboratory
The nutrition laboratory is where the students learn to prepare normal and therapeutic diets. Students learn to prepare different types of exhibits for health education related to nutrition and diet therapy. Under the guidance of a qualified dietitian, they learn to prepare normal diet and therapeutic diet for various disease conditions without losing nutrients. Students also use this lab to prepare different types of exhibits required to conduct various health education programmes.
Community health and anatomy laboratory
Community laboratory is used by students to practice bag technique required for family health care and prepare the materials needed for health education. Community health nursing experience is provided to the students in Government Primary Health Centers.
Students learn about human anatomy, functioning of all the body systems, skeletal structure and muscular structure. Learning is made easy through dummy models.
Internship & Scholarships
The physiotherapy students have to undergo six months / 1 year compulsory internship in rotation to help bridge the gap between the professional and academic prospectives gained during the course.
The Merit scholarship, Government of India scholarship, concerned State Government scholarships and State Departments (SC, ST, etc) are also available for eligible students.
Library facility
The library is stacked with professional and non-professional books medical journals, periodicals and newspapers in English and regional languages. Rated as one of the most comprehensive collection of knowledge in the related fields of courses, the library is constantly updated with the best of books and periodicals with a large collection of audios and video presentations in the form of slides, overhead projectors, video and audio cassettes, internet and media from National Informatics Services.
Sports and recreational activities
Outdoor and indoor sports facilities are provided. A variety of recreational and cultural programs and social events are organized periodically to assimilate students into the social fabric of the society. The students are encouraged to participate in activities of their choice and interest. Active support and infrastructure is provided for students wishing to take part in games and competitions.
Clinical facilities
Opportunities are provided to students to visit health and social community centers and hospitals for their learning experience and social projects which include medical, surgical, pediatric, maternity and other specializations like ENT, skin, and orthopedic disorder.
Transport facilities
College busses and vehicles are available for students to visit to hospitals and community health centers and any educational visits.
Hostel facilities
The institution expects high degree of discipline from the students. The students should be dressed smartly, maintain time in all the chores assigned to them and be attractive in personal hygiene and above all, an exemplary behavior. The management takes a serious view of students who strike or boycott class and such irresponsible behaviors will not be tolerated.
Students, found guilty of provoking, instigating, leading or participating in any illegal strike or boycott classes will be summarily dismissed.
Separate hostel facilities are provided for boys and girls. |
